Welcome to the 2025 Public Budget Input

Stirling-Rawdon has been reviewing the needs of the Municipality for 2025 since last fall.  We started in late August with a preliminary budget survey.

Council reviewed the preliminary budget input received.

The survey showed the following areas were the main areas to concentrate on for level of service:

  • General Government - Maintain or decrease current service
  • Protection to Persons & Property - Maintain current service
  • Transportation - Increase or maintain current service
  • Environmental Services - Maintain current service
  • Health Service - Increase or maintain current service
  • Recreation & Cultural - Maintain current service
  • Planning & Development - Maintain current service

Capital Budget results showed to concentrate on renewing the assets that support existing levels of service, with the most important area being Transportation.

Council  then reviewed staff suggestions for capital in October/November and provided direction to staff for what projects to tender.

Operational budget was reviewed in November and Capital budget was reviewed in January.

The Overall budget was reviewed and the draft proposed budget was approved in March with direction for further public input.

When you review the attached report and budget, do you feel that we have addressed the preliminary budget input results?
